American Workwear stocks only raingear that has stood the test of time and weather conditions.  All of the brands we represent are top quality and available for use in a work environment.  Sizing    Raingear manufactures size their garments to go over the top of other clothing, so you do not need to "oversize" for a good fit.  Generally, we find that if a person wears a size medium pant, they will wear a large jacket.  You may consult our fit guides for your reference.  In many cases where the sleeves or legs are too long on a garment, they can be adjusted by turning the garment inside out, adjust to the proper length and then apply duct tape to secure and turn right side out.  Repairs    Most PVC garments can be repaired by turning the garment inside out and placing any "duct tape" like tape over the tear or cut and then turn the garment right side out again and use AquaSeal in our patch kits on the tear and let dry overnight.  You may then remove the tape and the garment is as good as new.  These patch kits are available on our website under accessories.      Most of the waterproof/breathable garments (nylon based) can be repaired with a product called 'Tear Mender" available under the accessories section.  Cleaning    Cleaning waterproof/breathable garments can be accomplished with Nikwax "Tech Wash" which aids in cleaning without reducing waterproof ability.     Nikwax also makes a product called "TX Direct" which brings back waterproofing to garments that seem to have lost some of their ability to repel moisture.  This easy to use product is available in our accessories section.     PVC/Polyurethane garments can be cleaned by using a brush with mild detergent and then line dry.  They should NEVER be put in a washing machine as this could have a negative affect on the structure of the garment.
